January/February/March News
January Meeting at ISC's The Gallery
In January we met at ISC's "The Gallery". Carolyn Wear and Deborah Cook enjoyed refreshments during a break. The CEUs about stone and tile were extremely educational and attracted a large turnout. Thank you Susan Prestia, for a great job of programming this year.

February Meeting at Amini's Galleria
Our February meeting at Amini's Galleria was the first joint meeting with IIDA. Arash Amini and guest speaker Dave Calderwood, Regional Sales Manager for Obeetee and Tamarian Carpets, educated us through this presentation about the Oriental rug field.
Dave took the mystery out of selling Oriental rugs, from Antique and Traditional to the top contemporary styles and colors. There was a drawing for area rugs, and both Barbara Bishop and Diana Koska won 4 x 6 area rugs. Another member, Kathleen Ramsey, won the drawing for a $200 certificate toward outdoor furniture. The outdoor furniture is a new addition to the store.
Amini's provided excellent hors d'oeuvres and wine for refreshments. If you haven't been to the showroom, be sure to check it out and get registered. Below, owner, Arash Amini and Bridget White, hand made rug manager. With Bridget in the second picture, Diana Koska, winner of an area rug.
