Community Outreach/Fundrasing
We at ASID strive to give back to the community and have been involved with some great organizations. We have currently partnered with the KIPP Endeavor Academy, a free, public charter school serving nearly 200 students from around Kansas City’s urban core.
Our annual fundraising event is the Purse Parade. This event held in the spring, is celebration of great design, featuring elaborate tablescapes and an expansive and unique collection of purses. A designer represents each table and portrays their perspective and style in relation to that year’s theme. The main presentation and live purse auction take place after the luncheon. An emcee and traditional auctioneers pump up the crowd while KIPP Endeavor Academy students take on the fun task of modeling all of the purses.
